GRIM



The world has become grim these days. On almost every level. Yet poetry is still very much alive. It will survive as long as we breathe and words find the strength to denounce or embrace the spirit of the times, to express it profoundly, and thereby to transcend it.

TO OBSERVE



Poetry for me is a matter of observing, and although the non-recognition of two identical objects remains a utopia, somewhere there lies the starting point of what I now call originality: a matter of forgetting, almost.
